July 15th, 2011

And so the blog begins...no fancy titles, no fancy thoughts...just a place to note the nuances of the Kober Clan.  I've decided this would be a fun place to look back and remember the fun times we've had, and at the same time, to not feel guilty when life becomes too hectic and I don't get on here as often as I would like.

I wasn't sure how to start a blog.  No clever beginning entries, etc...  So, I decided to just start typing and act like I started this blog a long time ago (which I meant to do... about 4 years ago). Oops, no guilt!

We've been traveling the last 3+ weeks on our annual east coast tour.  Spent about a week in the Adirondacks with Grammy Kathy and Grandpop.  It was a great week!

Now, we're on Cape Cod in Wellfleet, Massachusetts.  Gull Pond is as beautiful as ever and the weather has been great.

The kids have been spending idyllic days on the warm and sandy beach and have enjoyed spending time with their bff's, Ella and Mason.  We've even enrolled Ollie and Ella in 'summer camp' at the Wellfleet Rec. Center.  Of course, we had to have them lie and say they are 5 years old, but no biggie. It's a win-win; the kids love it and we get some quiet time everyday from 9-12pm.  It does have some drawbacks, though...Ollie came back from the Friday field trip of ice skating with nearly half a finger after another camper skated over it.  Yuck.

Nonetheless, our days have been full of bliss.  I just wish we could slow down the clock because vacation days seem to slip away so much faster than working days...
